In the March 10 “Sound Off,” it discusses what people had to say about the possible fluoridation being introduced into our water supply. One response in particular was very insightful. It mentioned the response of the water board members who are wearing two political hats in Suisun City (March 6, “Council votes to apply for Priority Development Area grant”).
When asked about the concern to the safety of the residents about how safe fluoride introduction really is, these two-hat-wearing board member gave a very smug response. How also earlier in the week this same two-hat board member, while wearing his other hat as mayor, responded to an email from a voting constituent (March 3, “Why are we having fluoride debate?”), that “save your time. I delete everything you email me anyway. I never read them.”
Since this is how we the people are actually viewed by him, let me remind you that only we can correct the problem. If we, as a voting populace, are frustrated and feel we are not being represented properly by the officials we elected to office, then we, as a voting constituency, can simply do the same thing they did in a little town in Southern California and vote them out of office and ” hire” somebody else we feel can represent us as promised.
Does that ring a “Bell?”
