Does the Daily Republic cover all sides when it comes to reporting news of recent SEIU activities and statements?
Referring to the editorial and its disparaging response about the possibility of the union calling a strike, I would say do not count on your local newspaper to be an ally.
The newspaper’s perspective ignores the path that led to the co-called threat of a strike. And, so whether or not the local newspaper provides support is neither good nor bad news for the employer, Solano County, or its employees.
The notion that local media can demean and discredit the union’s voice does not understand the united voice of workers seeking dignity, safety and protection in the current economic climate of chaos.
