My vote for district attorney

I have been following the campaign efforts of both Don du Bain and Krishna Abrams for district attorney in Solano County.

My wife has been employed with the Solano County District Attorney’s Office for the past 24 years: She has been with their Victim Witness Program since 1990. Needless to say, I have watched her dedicated and compassionate work with crime victims and their families over the past 24 years.

The Victim Witness Program has served thousands of victims and witnesses since the late 1980s. Their unit provides direct services to crime victims in any case from misdemeanors to homicides and accompanies victims through the criminal justice system, along with many other support services. However, the Victim Witness Unit has been virtually ignored by the incumbent even though this program works out of his own office and is very successful in what it does.

The unit has struggled to survive many budget cuts. However, the incumbent only talks about the Family Justice Center, which according to my wife provides very limited services and refers most cases back to the Victim Witness Program. This is one of the reasons my wife supports Krishna Abrams for district attorney as she does give crime victims a voice and is tough on crime and holds defendants accountable.

Krishna Abrams has my vote for district attorney and I hope you will join me.
