Memorial Day memorable at Giants game

Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants organization for a very special Memorial Day celebration that took place throughout the game to honor our nation’s service men and women.

It was heartfelt and very moving.

The two super-special moments were when Staff Sgt. Megan May from Travis Air Force Base sang the national anthem and “God Bless America.” She did not turn either into a funeral song nor a pop classic. Staff Sgt. May sang the songs as they were meant to be sung and there was not a sound in that stadium until she finished.

Well done all around!
