@Mr P: Fast forward 2000 years, and some people might be talking about the son of God, David Koresh. How he and is followers gave up their lives outside of Waco for our sins at the hands of the evil empire(USA). Not hard to spin a tale, when all parties are dead and gone. I am just shocked that people fall for it, time after time. On the good side, I am sure Waco could use the tourism from this tale.

37AD and 55AD – so no one was left alive that was an adult when these two were writing their histories. Remember, no one lived very long back then and it is very doubtful that any adult followers of the Man did so. And so as Mr. Buntin states it’s hearsay on top of hearsay.

The difference is that the people that write about this mythical person, never met or spoke to the man they wrote of. All writings are based on hear-say of hear-say, coupled with barbaric traditions of the time.

Even I will concede the evidence suggesting Jesus was a real person. But all the tales he told led to his brutal beating. Those tales created afterward are unmitigated nonsense. But THAT fraud continues…

I found Harry Short’s letter to me very amusing myself. I realize that this is closer to our present time, but how do we REALLY know that people like, George Washington, or Abe Lincoln really existed??? Eye witnesses you say, in our history books, recorded history, records of that time. Well it was the same thing for Jesus, many eye witnesses, and also the many historical writing of that time, including the bible, which is in itself a history book, albeit possibly having misinterpretations, translations over all the centuries, from different languages, but not about the existence of the MAIN subject matter, person. It is fairly obvious to me that Harry Short may just be an Atheist and IF he is, it is his loss.
