Is state split a case of ‘divide and conquer’?

Tim Draper, of a Menlo Park Venture Capital Fund and a man of questionable intellect, wants to split California into six states. Draper says the split is needed because the state is currently ungovernable.

If Draper can round up enough signatures by July, the plan will become a ballot initiative in November. That’s not the only scary part . . . it could just happen! If successful, that would create problems with our national flag and many other states could be divided into small monarchies, all with their own layers of frustrated subjects.

While some of the Southern states still survive on racism, religion, moonshine, tobacco and guns, we in California should be glad we have a system which works for the enlightened citizenry.

Forget “In God We Trust” and return to E Pluribus Unum! I put it to you.
