Hipwaders something to be proud about

By From page A7 | November 01, 2013

I am responding to the article written by Adrienne Harris about the pumpkin patch festivities at Gum Grove in Suisun (Oct. 25).

What a wonderful day of pony rides, face painting, climbing hay bales, pitching pumpkins, etc. But the best part of the day for my daughter was the Hipwaders band, which Ms. Harris omitted mentioning in her article. The Hipwaders, which plays hip music for kids and families, played all day, enjoyed by families eating their lunch, kids dancing to their music and music for all to enjoy while experiencing the other activities.

This band has won numerous awards and traveled all over the country performing in museums, hospitals, fairs and festivals and even on TV. I was surprised to find out that the Hipwaders hail from Vacaville.

They will be playing from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 21 at the skating center in Vacaville. Let’s support this local talent that Vacaville and Fairfield need to know about.

The Hipwaders are GREAT! I ran into one at Staples one day... real nice guy in person, too. And fantastic music... kids love it and I find my toe tapping too.
