Guns and more guns

By From page A11 | February 15, 2013

Remove the weapons of choice across this great nation. Listen to the poster child, Gabrielle Giffords, and her husband who now parade around speaking against guns of all kinds on speaking tours and lectures. But do you know where you won’t hear a word against guns and the violence that they bring? At the movies or on your local cop show or TV show.

Why is that, I ask you? Movies and TV are big money and you just can’t demonize the stars and actors who use them, no matter how real they look on the “big screen make-believe.” The movie industry, like politicians, is rich; made by us, the American public. With a flick of the switch or button, we make them richer every minute of every day.

What a sorry shame to blame a few for the sadness that they inflict on the entire population. So with a flick of a switch or the pull of a trigger, the violence is brought to your home via the media and that’s OK, isn’t it? Fake or not.
