I wonder what new law anti-gun people would like to see. A law that someone intent on murder would obey. We have hundreds of laws concerning the use of guns, yet, anti-gun zealots want more. Do they really think that more laws will stop some nut from killing someone? How naive.
They care even less about the Constitution, which is sad. They come after my guns today, they come to restrict your freedom of due process tomorrow. I guess many people are willing to give up freedom for what they consider to be security.
I wonder how come people swallow the swill of threatened cuts from this administration with regard to the “sequester.” Now, I read where the Travis School District is ranting and raving over what is actually a cut in the rate of increase. Maybe they don’t get that, but most people do. It’s not a cut at all. It’s still an increase. And these folks are in charge of education?
The “sequestration” will mean that the government will cut about 2.5 percent from increases scheduled to take effect. Most businesses have had to put up with a lot worse, yet they made it. Most households have had to do with real cuts, not imagined cuts, and they survived.
It’s time the government lived within its means, which is the only way to get the economy back on track and get people back to work in real jobs that can sustain a family in a decent lifestyle.
