Gun control fallacies abound
It is a pretty well-known fact that gun laws are totally unproductive. Areas with strict gun laws are generally the most plagued by gun crimes. Citizens in places like Chicago are not allowed to own handguns at all and other types of weapons are severely restricted, yet gun crime is a huge problem thanks to the fact that the average citizen is defenseless.
Other locales where one can get a license to carry have much lower crime rates.
Mr. Jack Batson says (Jan. 26, “Long struggle ahead on gun control”), that the Second Amendment could be changed. Nonsense! There is a reason why our forefathers made constitutional amendment very difficult as they knew it could be very destructive and could wind up costing us vital freedoms.
Mr. Batson shows his ignorance with regard to firearms when he speaks about widespread ownership of machine guns. These weapons were totally outlawed back in the 1930s. We do have semiautomatic weapons that fire one round per trigger pull.
Leave God out of this? I don’t think so! He is the creator of our universe and everything therein and he is totally in control. Forget about evolution. That antique theory went down the tubes when scientists discovered DNA and also that each cell in the body has millions of complex components. Only God can create life.

That last paragraph will no doubt get you a CD response..Machine guns and silencers are readily and legally available (at least in PA) if you have the money and qualify legally...you too can own a weapon of "mass discussion"
