Gridlock could lead to ‘Deathmatch 3′

By From page A8 | November 27, 2012

Let me get this straight: According to a recent article in the paper, the Democrats want a begrudging President Barack Obama to let the economy “fall off the fiscal cliff” so that their party will have better footing to further the Democrat agenda against the majority Republican vote in the House.

I am so disillusioned with our political landscape and so tired of the strict partisan stance taken by our elected officials that I, as a lifetime voter, am ready to throw up the white flag in defeat.

I find it difficult to talk to my grandchildren with any pride of our “working” government.

It may be time to pitch a new reality show where all the Washington bureaucrats are shipped to an island in the Pacific or the Atlantic, since they won’t be able to agree on this either, for “Deathmatch 3.” It should be a new hit, especially with all the lawyers on the island as judged.

I’m thinking Emmy!
