Solano County recently lost one of its most outstanding citizens.
My wife and I had the privilege of knowing and being under the care of Ed Henry (PA Henry to us) while he worked at David Grant Medical Center. He was always so helpful, considerate and knowledgeable. We always left feeling we had received the best possible service from him. He put many doctors to shame with his sincere compassion and concern for the welfare of his patients and we truly missed dealing with him after he left.
That being said, he was always a pleasure to talk to on the rare occasions we ran into him later on. Most recently, we encountered him and his wife this past November in Hawaii. He mentioned he was ill, but we didn’t realize just how serious it was, since he never let on. He was pretty much his normal upbeat self, and it was a pleasure to see and talk with him again.
We are both extremely saddened by his passing, but truly thankful for at least having that last opportunity to see and speak with him. He was an outstanding medical professional, not to mention a truly good man worth emulating.
God Bless you, PA Henry, and your family.
