Gee, I wonder what the reaction from the right wingnuts would have been if one of those embassieshhad been attacked. Seems like nothing Obama does is correct in the eyes of mike ramirez. It makes me think that there is really nothing at all behind his cartoons, except an obvious hatred.
Mr. Madronich I disagree. I think Mike does more to point out what the Republicans are doing wrong than what Obama is doing right. Nobody's perfect but the GOP has an abundance of problems. Check out the latest from Tea Party whack job and AG from Virginia Ken Cuccinelli.
Mr Brooks lets see. he said seems like nothing Obama does is correct in the eyes of Mike Ramirez and goes on to say except an obvious hatred. looks to me like the President can do no wrong in his eyes and he has a hatred towards those who do not agree with the President.
Political cartoonists get a lot of artistic and opinion license. But I don't get this cartoon. Obama is running with a bunch of signs that are blowing out of his hands? But I do get the point: We're being panicked by al-Qaeda, making Obama's statement that we've got al-Qaeda "on the run" look silly. So is it true? Was this a panicked reaction? No; just cautious. Is al-Qaeda "on the run?" We learned yesterday that whatever plot there was didn't go off. Instead, the perpetrators got killed by stepped up drone strikes in Yemen. 37 killed in two weeks. The half-life of an al-Qaeda operative who raises his head is pretty short. So they're not really running; they're staying in their holes. Al-Zawahiri must be in the deepest one. It would be nice if Pakistan decided to be unequivocally on our side against at least him. I suppose we could see the al Qaeda equivalent of the Tet offensive, taking everyone by surprise. If that happens though, it’s then we should NOT panic; we should make a sober assessment of whether this was a last gasp effort to panic us (like Tet was) or a trend.
