William B. “Bill” Carr, 65, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side, after a brief illness.
He was born in Burbank and has lived in Suisun City since 1979. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force in the early 1970s and worked for more than 35 years as an aircraft mechanic for United Airlines before retiring in 2002.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sonia: children, William B. “Billy” (Rene) Carr II, Edward (Rebecca) Mayorga, Monica (Leo) Sanchez, Carlos (Susana) Mayorga, Katherine “Katie” (Chris) Eitzen; father, Richard Carr; sisters, Sherry Dugan and Kimberly Melson; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Dooley Munyer.
Bill loved spending time with his family and in his (man-cave) garage. He was an avid football fan, history and trivia buff.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, 901 W. Second St., Benicia. Burial with military honors will be held 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon.
