Veta Jean House was born in Mountainburg, Arkansas on April 22, 1929 and went to see our Lord on angels wings on May 4, 2014.

She lived in Fairfield, Calif., for 47 years, was a cosmetologist for 46 years, a member of the Military Wives Bowling League at Travis Air Force Base and a member of The Church of Christ.

She is survived by children, Brenda and Phil Chernoff, Don House, Debbie and Manuel Gutierrez, and Stephanie and Dave Harris; grandchildren, Lee, Denise, Sherri, Bambalyn, Shawn and Tawny, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harry E. House; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Major Gregory.

A memorial service and reception will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Family requests in lieu of flowers a donations be made to NorthBay Hospice Bereavement, 1101 B. Gale Wilson Blvd., Ste. 307, Fairfield, CA 94533, in Veta House’s name.
