April 15, 1974 — Aug. 2, 2012

Tanya Ann Uhrin Martinez passed away suddenly Aug. 2, 2012, from a brain aneurysm. She was 38.

Tanya was a loving and hardworking single mother, daughter, sister and fiancée. She is survived by her daughters, Keilanii Uhrin-Saffings, Alicia Martinez and Mariah Martinez; parents, John and Sonja Uhrin; sister, Tracie Uhrin; brother, Jason Uhrin; nephew, Kelly Uhrin-Gilmore; and fiance, Dontrell Blair.

She loved to live her life as much as she loved to brighten up everybody’s day with the smile she always kept on her face.

Tanya’s youngest daughter Mariah was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 11 and is now in remission for four years. They fought a tough battle together and never let go of faith. The family now still holds that faith in God’s hands and will continue to stay strong and will always have Tanya within them.

Due to the sudden passing of Tanya, a donation website has been created by the Uhrin Family in hopes to provide Tanya’s family the freedom to grieve their terrible loss without financial burden. Your donations will help Tanya’s family http://www.gofundme.com/tanyamartinez.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, both to be held at Colonial Chapels, 1000 Redwood St., Vallejo. Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Chapels, 643-0391.
