Steven Haynie

June 9, 1950 — Jan. 19, 2014

Steven passed away peacefully on Jan. 19, 2014.

Steven served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He loved the San Francisco 49ers and his dog, Freeway. He was a railroad buff and also did beautiful woodworking and furniture refinishing. He will be missed by all.

Steven is survived by his wife, Mary Haynie of Fairfield, Calif.; father, Frank A. Haynie and stepmother, Nancy Haynie of Carson City, Nev.; mother, Jean Pugh of Acampo, Calif.; sister, Kathleen Long of Stockton, Calif.; twin sister Sandy Coulter of Roseville, Calif.; brother, Mark Haynie of San Francisco; son, Steven F. Haynie Jr. of Newcastle, Wyo.; daughter, Amanda Smith of Douglas, Wyo.; and grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Nicholas, Jenna, Jessica, Ethan and Chance.

He was preceded in death by son, Daniel O’Brien Haynie of Stockton, Calif.

Steven’s family wishes to thank Vitas Innovative Hospice Care for their care and support.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 28, 2014, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, Calif. 95620.

Donations may be made to the American Lung Association or flowers sent to the cemetery.
