GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
Stephen Rothermel Parker, 63, passed away Monday, Nov 25, 2013, surrounded by his family, at his home in Fairfield, Calif.
Stephen was born March 31, 1950, in Tucson, Ariz., a son to Harry R. and Jessie N. Parker.
On Nov. 13, 1971, he married Carol M. Parker, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oxnard, Calif.
Stephen was a U.S. Naval supply officer for 22 years, Vietnam veteran, and an active member of the VFW, Naval Supply Officer Corp and volunteer for diabetic society.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Parker of Fairfield; two sons Chet (Tina) Parker of Fairfield, Calif., Nate (Sara) Parker of Houston, Texas; daughter, Sharon Parker (boyfriend Ryan) of Concord, Calif.; four grandchildren, Kai, Noah, Aaliyah and Rayne of Houston; sisters, Eileen (Jake) Jacobson of Paradise, Calif., and Maura Noland of Tucson, Ariz.; and sister-in-law Debbie Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Drew Parker.
Interment services with full military honors will be at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetary, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, Calif., followed by a memorial service at the American Legion Veteran’s Hall in Dixon, Calif.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans of Cincinnati, Ohio.
