Stacy Hendrix

Sept. 7, 1964 — June 1, 2014

Stacy Hendrix, 49, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at the Courtyard Healthcare Facility in Davis.

Stacy was born Sept. 7, 1964, in Oakland, the third child to F.L. and Lois Hendrix. He married Brigit Hendrix on July 12, 1986, a marriage that lasted more than 26 years.

Stacy was a full-faith Christian, being a member of several churches, Tabernacle in Oakland, Word of Faith Church of San Jose and Living Waters of Fairfield.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Stacy worked as a journeyman carpenter for more than 25 years, belonging to carpenters Union local 713 in Alameda County and the local 46 in Sacramento County.  Stacy enjoyed music, writing poetry, going to festivals, fishing, cooking on the barbecue. The most important thing to him was taking care of his family.

He is survived by his wife, Brigit; son Matthew Hendrix of Fairfield, Calif.; daughter, Khyla Hendrix of Fairfield, Calif.; mother, Lois Hendrix of Mineral Springs, Ark.; grandmother, Marjorie Thomas of Oakland, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Jeanne Hendrix of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, Steve Hendrix of Texarkana, Ark.;  many uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, F.L. Hendrix.

A memorial service will be held at noon Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the Rockville Stone Chapel, with Pastor Gary Hill officiating. A commital will follow the service at Rockville Cemetery, 4219 Suisun Valley Road, Fairfield.
