Sophia Grierson (Ryder)

Jan. 12, 1979 — May 2, 2014

Sophia Grierson (Ryder) died Friday, May 2, 2014, in Fairfield. She was 35.

Sophia has always been known as a beautiful woman with a bright smile, infectious laugh and a personality that could light up a room. Despite having no formal training, she was an incredible cook and loved to host parties and gatherings.

Always the first person in line when others needed help, she could rally her friends and even strangers to lend a hand whenever it was needed. She was always extremely passionate about charities for cancer research, our military, local food banks, animal rescue and many others. Her generosity extends even today, she is an organ donor and has helped at least three more people with her gift of life. She would be humbled and honored to learn just how many people love her and will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her husband Chris and her mother Judith. Services are being held privately.
