Robert ‘Bob’ Wilson Gaither

Bob was born in Newport, R.I., on Dec. 27, 1953, and departed this life on March 29, 2014.

Bob was a resident of Pocahontas, Tenn., at the  time of his death and was a former resident of Fairfield, Calif.

Bob was a carpenter foreman for Montgomery Martin Contractors of Memphis, Tenn.

Robert “Bob” is survived by his wife of 14 years, Tammy; daughters, Shirley Voshell (Anthony) of Davenport, Iowa, Danielle Williams of Pocahontas, Tenn., Carolyn Williams of Richardson, Texas;  two sons, Edward Gaither (Amy) of Clarksville, Tenn., and Rodney Gaither of Pocahontas, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild; adopted daughter, Jessica Copeland of Pocahontas, Tenn.; brother, Billy E. Gaither Jr. (Edith) of Suisun City, Calif.;  nephews, Michael Gaither (Shauna) of Gilroy, Calif., and Daniel Gaither (Kayta) of Fairfield, Calif.; and a host of extended family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Billy E. and Carol Jean Gaither; brothers, John Russell Gaither and Glenn Edward Gaither; and nephew Robert Christopher Gaither.

A memorial service was held on April 1, 2014, in Selmer, Tenn., and Bob was cremated thereafter.
