Sept. 23, 1943 — March 21, 2014

Born on Sept. 23, 1943, Rich joined the United States Air Force in 1963, serving the majority of his time in Vietnam and retiring as a tech sergeant in 1981.

In 1983, Rich obtained his real estate license and worked for Red Carpet Realty, while remaining with the Air Force as a reservist until 1987. Rich then tried his hand in lending, working for Guild Mortgage. In 1989, Rich went back to real estate sales, working for American Realty with Jim Stever and Dan Battaglia. In 1990 when Jim Stever open up Jim Stever Realty, Rich followed him there, and was a staple in that office, working every day until his death on March 21, 2014.

Rich is survived by a sister, Lisa Settle of Virginia; and nephew, Robert Rainey of Las Vegas, Nev.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, Calif. 95620.
