Muriel Anina Lund Fosdick

On the evening of June 24, 2014, Muriel passed away peacefully surrounded and comforted by her loving family members at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield, Calif. Muriel was 78.

Born Oct. 3, 1935, in San Francisco to James Gustave Lund and Katie Rose Lund, Muriel graduated from San Mateo High School, attended Brigham Young University, the Los Angeles County Police Academy and received a degree from Solano Community College. She was a member of the LDS Church and lived a life of service to others, her church and her family.

Muriel loved to spend time with family and friends in Fairfield, where she lived for more than 30 years. She loved to travel to San Francisco, Lake Tahoe and coastal areas of California. Muriel was elated to spend time with her grandchildren and was a special part of their lives. Life was not without times of trial for Muriel, yet with her graceful courage she served as an inspiration to all that knew her. The life and memories that Muriel leaves behind will never be forgotten.

Muriel is survived by daughters, Christina Perrie-Luthy, Jennifer Lowery and Julie Alfred; sister and brother-in-law, Janice (George) Kramm; brother and sister-in-law, John (Debbie) Lund; several nieces, nephews and 12 grandchildren.

Muriel was preceded in death by her parents, James Lund and Katie Lund; and daughter Sheri Lynn Powell.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at the Windsor House in Vacaville and the medical team at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the LDS Church, 2700 Camrose Ave., Fairfield, CA 94533. Interment will be private.
