May 31, 1968 — Feb. 21, 2013

After a year-long battle with cancer, Michael Richard Rueger, 44, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s in Reno, Nev., Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 with his mother and sister by his side.

Mike was born May 31, 1968, in Michigan. He was a 1986 graduate of Fairfield High where he was a member of the Junior ROTC. He moved to Reno in 1998 where he worked at various jobs but was most proud of his last job as an apprentice for the Local 3, heavy equipment operators, driving a dump truck at the mines in Battle Mountain and Ely, Nev.

Mike enjoyed the outdoors, camping, baseball and playing video games.

He is survived by his mother, Maria of Sparks, Nev.; father, Dennis of Michigan; and sister, Carol of Fairfield. He was a loving son and brother who will truly be missed but not forgotten. You are now among the angels, rest in peace.
