Mary F. Layne

Oct. 14, 1913 – June 10, 2013

Mary Francis Layne was born in Selma, Ala., Oct. 14, 1913, to Louis Phillip Hylton and Katie Louise Hylton.

Mary worked for Blackman’s Jewelry Store in Fairfield for five years then worked at Aldridge Jewelers in Fairfield for seven years. The rest of her adult life was spent as a homemaker for 46 years

Mary was an avid bingo player for many years and also enjoyed her yard, plants and flowers. She was also a Ā longtime member of Church of Christ in Fairfield.

Mary is survived by her son, Charles Phillip Layne and his wife Beverly Layne-Fisher of West Virginia; four granddaughters, Kristine L. Bonovich of Dixon, Calif., Susie Meredith of Rio Vista, Katina Isaacson of Reno, Nev. and Michelle Layne of Junction City, Ore.; two grandsons, Nicholas and Jacob Bonovich, both of Dixon, Calif.; three great-granddaughters, Elysia and Caitlin Layne of Junction City, Ore., and Reilley Isaacson of Reno, Nev.

Preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Layne.

Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery
