Mary Sanders

Jan. 18, 1914 — July 14, 2014

Mary passed away July 14, 2014, in Albuquerque, N.M. She was 100 years old.

A longtime resident of Fairfield, she moved here prior to World War II  from Ripley, Okla., where she was born. She moved to Albuquerque in 2000. She was employed at various stores in downtown Fairfield, including J.C. Penney, Darlene’s Children Store, Shopping Bag Market, Fabric Shop, Hydes and Freitas Toggery.

She is survived by her three sons, Lawrence A. (Penny) Scrivner of Keno, Ore., Stanley A. Scrivner of Hebron, N.D. and Kenneth A. (Michelle) of Albuquerque, N.M.; stepsons, Richard G. (Sharon) Sanders of Fairfield and Kenneth D. (Margaret) Sanders of Fairfield; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Lloyd Sanders and George Scrivner; and daughters, Juanita Fredericks and Bonnie Joyce Nelson.

She enjoyed her family and was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

    Dear Ken, so sorry to hear of your mothers passing but not many make it to a 100. Mom passed on the 30th of June this year and she was 90. Our prayers go out to you and all the family. Diane Lambrecht Snook
