Luz Z. Damacion, daughter of Cionicio De Guzman Zamora and Emeliana Baniqued, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013.
Originally from Biecweft Binmaley, Pangisinan, Phillipine Islands. She has resided in California, primarily in Fairfield and Napa.
Luz was a mother, auntie, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife. She is survived by six of her seven children, Daniel, Carolyn, Kenneth, Virginia, Jim, Fawziya (Elizabeth) and Carlos. She has 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funny and vivacious, she defied her 86 chronological years. She was constantly cracking jokes and impressed many people with her natural charisma. Though she was at times frugal, she also liked to splurge on fine perfumes and makeup. She was always dolled up to go socialize on the town. She loved music, particularly the old-time crooners (Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, etc.) and ballroom dancing.
Family was very important to her. Luz was a strong woman and good matriarch for the family. She made sure the family stayed connected.
We will miss you. Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, auntie, sweetie, friend.
