Lorne Byron Hillier was born Oct., 28, 1917, in Racine, Wis. Lorne passed away on Feb. 2, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his two late wives, Rosemary T. Hillier and Bettie C. Hillier; and his daughter, Susan K. Sefcik.

He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Beaver, Karen Eggers, Loreene Smith and Mary Hillier-Davidson; and sons, James, and John Hillier; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

For the past 16 years, Lorne resided at the Paradise Valley Estates in Fairfield, Calif. Lorne was a retired Air Force pilot, lieutenant colonel and was employed 20 years at Falstaff Brewery.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 2700 Dover Ave., Fairfield. Immediately following the memorial service, there will be a gathering at Paradise Valley Estates, 2800 Estates Drive, Fairfield, Calif.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.

A private burial will take place in Los Altos, Calif.

Arrangements under the care of Fairfield Funeral Home, 1750 Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield, Calif., 425-1041.
