 May 28, 1963 — Nov. 5, 2012

Lianne Nancy Thurlo was called home to be with our Lord on November 5, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. A fighter ’til the end, she is sorely missed by all who were touched by her love.

Lianne was born on May 28, 1963 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She grew up in Benicia, and later met and married Christopher John Mark Thurlo. Chris and Lianne later relocated and made a home for their family in Suisun City.

Lianne was very devoted to her family, both those by relation as well as the huge extended family of friends and acquaintances. Lianne loved to make others laugh and was a blast to be around. She was also known to have taught a few people how to “Dougie.” She enjoyed cooking and was dubbed the “chef” by family and friends as testimony to the delicious meals she’d prepare. Her hobbies included sewing, camping and she was an expert fisherman…well at least as compared to her husband as she always caught more fish than he did. She worked as an accomplished legal secretary for a number of years during which time she made a number of life-long friends whom she adored. She was known as “mama” for her warmth and motherly spirit that she spread to everyone.

Lianne was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Britt and Helen (Sund) Britt. Lianne is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Chris Thurlo Sr., who has been by her side every second of their days together; her daughter and son-in-law, Rachel (Thurlo) Curry and Renard Curry and grandchildren, Julian and Jahmir Curry; son and daughter-in-law, Chris Thurlo Jr. and Lynn Thurlo and grandchildren, Tyler, Kayla, Jordan and Khloe; along with a host of dear family members and friends.

A memorial service to honor Lianne’s homegoing will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Fairfield Funeral Home, 1750 Pennyslvania Ave., Fairfield, Calif. 94533.  Arrangements under the direction of Fairfield Funeral Home, 425-1041.
