Lexsee Wilridge Sr., 81, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, in Fairfield. He was born April 27, 1931, in Branch, La., son of the late Abraham and Ida (Young) Wilridge. On Jan. 21, 1949, he married Brunette Gloria Fields, enjoying 63 years of marriage.
He resided in Fairfield-Suisun for 50 years after being stationed at Travis Air Force Base, where he retired in 1971. He then became a federal civil service employee, retiring in 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Brunette Wilridge; daughters, Vera Wilridge, Ida Wilridge, Londa Askew, Debora Pinckney and Jennifer Sturghall; sons, Lexsee Wilridge Jr., Curtis Wilridge and Frank Wilridge; sisters, Anne Wilridge and Grace Wilridge; brother, Clarence Wilridge; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. A service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at St. Stephen’s Christian Methodist Church, 2301 North Union Ave., Fairfield.
