Larry Don “Woody” Pierson, 62, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Vacaville.

Woody was born Jan. 14, 1949, in Russellville, Ark., to Clyde and Ruby Pierson. He moved to Solano County in 1976 and was united in marriage to Liv Thompson in Fairfield on April 9, 1978.

Woody worked as an electrician for his brother who owned Golden West Electric in Suisun at the time. He then worked as a union electrician for 25 years before retirement from Local Union 180. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

He is survived by his wife Liv Pierson; son, Casey Pierson; and stepdaughter, Andrea Smith, all from Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a son.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. and services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at Fairmont Memorial Park, 1910 Union Ave., Fairfield, under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 707-425-4697 or http://www.bryanbraker.com.
