Kyong Hee Maxwell aged 72 of Vacaville, Calif., passed away in her home on April 15, 2014, from natural causes.
She was born on Sept. 8, 1941, in Seoul, South Korea, where she grew up during incredibly challenging times facing loss and turmoil yet survived the Korean War. At the age of 32 she married her one and only husband of 20 years, Frederick Allan Maxwell.
Kyong came to the United States in 1977 and proudly earned her citizenship in 1980. She spent most of her years as a caring and devoted wife, mother and homemaker in Fairfield, Calif. After losing her husband in 1993, Kyong moved to Vacaville, where she remained for the rest of her days. She loved her family, friends and the Lord above and worked tirelessly every day of her life to prove it. She enjoyed chatting with whoever was around her and making them a friend. Her passion for Christ and the life she led was inspiring. She will be dearly missed.
Kyong is survived by her son, Michael Maxwell and his family Brianna Maxwell (wife) and Micah Maxwell (son) of Sacramento, Calif.; sister, Kyung Ja Kim; nieces, Ahn He Kyong and Jee Won of Seoul, South Korea.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on April 24, 2014, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home 1850 W. Texas St. Fairfield, Calif.. 94533.
