Joseph J. Putz III born on Oct. 26, 1959, in Belleville, Ill. A loving father, brother, uncle and son. Joe was suddenly called to heaven on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1979 and was previously employed at Mare Island Naval Shipyard. He was most recently employed by The Jackson Laboratory in Sacramento as a technician.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph J. Jr. and Mabel R. (Smith) Putz; uncle, Thomas (Janette) Putz; aunt, Rosemary (Peter) Brungardt; aunt, Maryjo Putz; sister, Theresa (Doug) McCoy; brothers, Marc (Laura Lee) Putz and Timothy (Leslie) Putz; daughter, Desiree Putz; and son, Sean Putz; six nephews and two nieces.

A memorial service will be held at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Jan. 11, 2014.

Please send donations to American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

    if the family is interested, I have the Putz family tree from the time they left Austria in the 1500's. I will give you a copy if you would like to have it. My spouse is a Putz. We married in 1951 in Erding Germany.
