Joanne Costa

Joanne Gale Costa died at the age of 73 at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield, Calif., on Friday, April 4, 2014.

She was born on Jan. 31, 1941, to Bernard and Lucille Dennis in Detroit, Mich., where she grew up with three siblings, James Dennis, Linda Stults and Sandi Perrin.

She enjoyed singing with her husband for community service and entertainment for Solano County. She loved going to church, music, playing bingo and cards, spending time with family, watching WWE wrestling and was a huge 49ers fan.

Joanne is survived by her four children and their spouses, Debbie and John Lawrence of Fairfield, Calif., Michael and Julie Gee of Eatonville, Wash., Timmy and Kari Gee of Oakley, Calif., and Bobby Gee from Fairfield, Calif.; step-children, C.J. Costa Jr. of Fairfield, Calif., Shawn and Gina Costa of Sacramento, Calif., and Joshua Costa of Fairfield, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Joanne was predeceased by her second husband of 23 years, Carlos Costa, and first husband of 22 years, Michael Gee.

Interment services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, Calif. 95620. Memorial services in honor of Joanne will be held at 1 p.m., following the interment services at Calvary Chapel Solano, 1180 Western St., F airfield, Calif., 94533. We welcome family and friends.
