Jo Ann Brown, 78, a longtime resident of Fairfield, Calif., passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 with her husband and family at her side.

Jo Ann was born Aug. 18, 1935 in Greenville, S.C. She came to Travis AFB in 1962 with her husband Wayne Brown and their four children, Sheila, Wayne Jr., Donna and Eric. She served her community and church faithfully. Her professional skill as a seamstress afforded her opportunities to serve others in a noble and loving way.

A visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at Fairfield Funeral Home, 1750 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fairfield. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11 at True Love Baptist Church, 1956 Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield, followed by a graveside service at Suisun Fairfield Cemetery, 1707 Union Avenue.

    wayne and family, We are so sorry to hear the loss of our beloved Jo Ann.JoAnn was the sweetest ,kindest and most beautiful lady with true class.She will always be in my heart and I'm sure in many others as well.God has gained another angel by his side.She will always be loved and never forgotten .Our condolences to the family. A legacy that she has left in the heart of each and every one of you. She will be truly missed.
