Harold Pryor

Feb. 5, 1931 —Feb. 5, 2014

Harold Pryor was legally born Feb. 5, 1931, in Ridgeville, S.C., but due to the midwife turning the paperwork in late, it was recorded as Feb. 20, 1931, and has therefore been celebrated as such.

Harold was born the second of seven boys to Etta B. and William Pryor.

He was educated in the Dorchester County school system and joined the United States Air Force where he served 26 years (1949-1975) and continued his education.

In August 1959, he married Margaret C. Tucker (affectionately known to the family as Sweet). Although they divorced in 1978, they remained very close.

After retiring from the Air Force in 1975, Harold and Margaret pursued his interest in cars by purchasing a gas station and garage (Harlins’ Automotive) located downtown Suisun City on Main Street.

Harold was a longtime member of the Masons. He first joined in Bitburg, Germany, and upon his return to the states, he became a member of the Stanley Y. Beverly Lodge No. 108 in Riverside and Fairfield, Calif. After moving into his condo, he became the home association President for approximately 10 years.

Harold departed this life on his actual birthday Feb. 5, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, William Jr., Robert and St. Clair.

Harold leaves to cherish his memories, ex-wife, Margaret C. Tucker; daughters, Donna T. Coon, Toni R. Jackson and Kathleen Pryor; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, Calif.
