Greg Rushing

May 10, 1949 — Feb. 21, 2014

Gregory William Rushing passed into heaven on Feb. 21, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Gregory was a familiar face in the area art and Suisun Marina community. He loved to sail, and has skills that will live on forever in his art. He was a graduate of Armijo High School, then served in the military. After starting his family, he returned to the Fairfield-Suisun area, where he has remained until his passing.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Edward and Joyce Rushing.

He is survived by a large, loving family including his children, Shannon Perez and Matthew Rushing; their mother, De Ann Ahl; and beautiful granddaughter, Jessica Perez, whom he loved to spend time with reading and doing art projects or visiting friends in the Suisun Harbor; His siblings, Alan and Alisa Rushing, Susan Rushing-Heart, John and Valerie Rushing, Ann and Karl Rushing-Kuntz, David and Kaydee Rushing, Nancy and Homer Shishido, Mark Rushing and Laura Rodriguez, Lisa Rushing, Mary and Walter Pearce; and many nieces and nephews.

Please join us for a memorial/celebration of life 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Babs Delta Diner, 770 Kellogg St., Suisun City.
