Gloria Lewis

July 31, 1928 — Feb. 21, 2014

Gloria Lorraine Lewis, 85, a Solano County resident her entire life, was reunited with her husband Stanley Lewis and her son William Robert Erickson Jr. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, after a long illness. She was surrounded by family.

Gloria was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Native Daughters. She was an avid gardener and animal lover. Gloria attended Gomer Elementary School in Suisun Valley and graduated from Armijo High School.

She had a career with the Fairfield Police Department as a dispatcher and later worked at California Medical Facility. Her biggest role was that of mother, grandmother and wife. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Gloria is survived by her son, Richard Erickson; daughter, Catherine Dacanay (Arthur); granddaughters, Tiffany Pardo and Melissa Erickson; grandsons, Alan Erickson and Brian Erickson; and great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Lorinda Combes.

Service will be private at Gloria’s request. Donations may be made to Canine Companions, American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association. If you would like to share a story, a memory or send a message, please email the family at [email protected]
