George Hause

Oct. 4, 1940 – Aug. 16, 2014

George “Wayne” Hause, 73, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, surrounded by family.

Wayne was a navigator and captain in the United States Air Force, serving 12 years before owning and operating a speed shop, actively racing his roadster and later running a steel fabrication business. He took great pride in his work and was highly respected in his field. Wayne also enjoyed boating, waterskiing, snow skiing, farm expos and tailgating at college football games with adored friends.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter, Ellen (Larry) Basiaga of Silver Spring, Md.; son Chad (Adrienne) Hause of Walnut Creek, Calif.; father, George Hause; brother, Jim Hause of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren, Jackson and Nathaniel Basiaga.

Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014. Services will be at noon Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014. Both will be held at the Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W. Texas St., Fairfield. Burial will be in Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, Calif.

    Alice - Sorry for your loss! Remember the days that my dad and Wayne had the Wino's at Sacramento Raceway every Saturday night. Rest in peace.
