Gennaro Dellosso passed away at home surrounded by his loving family after a short but courageous battle with mesothelioma.
He was born Sept. 11, 1927, in Newark, N.J., to Frank and Catherine Dellosso, who preceded him in death. He lived a very active, happy life and was a loving husband of 65 years to Constance Dellosso.
Gennaro proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, after which he worked in the plumbing industry and for United Airlines. While working for United Airlines, he relocated from New Jersey to Fairfield, Calif., in 1980. He retired from United Airlines in 1990. Gennaro was a very active man, who loved his family and pets. He was an avid bocce player and past president of the Fairfield Bocce Federation.
He is survived by his wife, Constance Dellosso; daughters, Carolyn (Bill) Wren and Paula (Alex) Santurio, both of Fairfield; grandchildren, Alexis (Jimmy), Alicia, Jennara, Jackie, Serena, Tony and Stacie; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Cody and Dawson, and Paulette Marie, who is on the way. All were very dear to his heart.
Also left to remember him are sister, Catherine of New Jersey; brother, Frank of New Jersey; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Thank you to NorthBay Hospice.
