A celebration of life honoring Fred Haywood will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield.

After serving in the military, Fred dedicated 29 years of his life in service to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He is survived by his mother, Ethola Mornes; his wife, Anita Haywood; his daughter, Shanita Haywood; his son, Marcus Haywood; and his granddaughter, Shamiah Haywood.
