Evonne Medina

Nov. 21, 1986 — April 9, 2014

Evonne Ann Medina, 27, of Hayward, unexpectedly passed away on April 9, 2014, in Suisun City. Evonne will be sorely missed.

Evonne was born in San Francisco to Phil Medina and Eva Maria de Ocampo on Nov. 21, 1986. She attended Oakdale Elementary School, Tennyson High School (Hayward) and graduated from Brenkwitz High School (Hayward). Evonne was enrolled at Solano Community College studying business and wanted to pursue a real estate license. She worked at Sizzler in Hayward, Red Lobster in Fairfield and was a bartender at Sticky Rice Chinese Bistro and Bar in Fairfield.

Evonne is survived by her boyfriend of five years, Mike Bacani; parents, Phil Medina and Eva Maria de Ocampo; sister, Phoebe Medina; brothers, Arman Medina and his wife Eve, Jason Medina and his wife Mariann; nephews, Armando, Ammon and Henry; nieces, Natalie, Lydia, Emmeline and Maisy; grandparents, Dr. Filomeno and Lydia Medina, and Pedro and Rufina de Ocampo.

Based on the support, prayers and love the family has received, clearly Evonne has touched the hearts of many. The family is truly grateful for the outpouring of love. Friends and family are cordially invited to celebrate the life of Evonne.

Funeral services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1300 Junipero Serra Blvd., San Francisco, with Monsignor Labib Kobti officiating.

    I love you Evonne. You will always be missed. I know your shining down from heaven on all us, being our guardian angel and making sure no one gives us crap, lol. Rest in Paradise, see you one day again in heaven. XoXo Chloe and Amber .I hope god knew what he was getting in to calling you to heaven so quickly, now he has to feed you all the food you love, hope he's a good cook. : )
