Dec. 13, 1923 — Feb. 16, 2013

Della Arletta Anderson-Gainey, age 89, returned home to the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013. She worked over 30 years in hospitals and nursing homes across the country. She is described as a loving wife to her late husband, Rufus Gainey; devoted mother to her son, Minister Nicholas Martin Gainey; and her two daughters, Marolyn Lee Gainey and Shirley Mychelle Gainey. The love she shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always be cherished. She will be remembered as a loyal and trusting friend to many.

Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 850 W. Texas St., Fairfield. Following there will be a celebration of life held at Parkway Plaza, 188 E. Alaska Ave., Fairfield. Memorials may be made to Marolyn Gainey or Nicholas Gainey at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, www.bryanbraker.com.
