Delbert Dee Doshier, 85, of Vallejo, Calif, formerly of Napa, Calif., passed away from a long illness surrounded with love by his friends and family on April 30, 2014.

Delbert was born in Maud, Okla. He served in the U.S. Army and participated in the Korean War. He eventually moved to Napa, Calif., where he worked for the Benicia Arsenal. After the arsenal, he worked for Travis Air Force Base in the maintenance department until 1983, when he retired. After he retired from Travis, he worked for the California Veterans Home in Yountville, Calif., and retired in the early 1990s. Delbert was also a lifelong member of the Freemasons.

Delbert is survived by his longtime companion, Gerri Hawley of Vallejo, Calif. Delbert is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Delbert was a great man who will be truly missed by all who loved him. There will be a graveside service held for him at 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, at Napa Valley Memorial Park, 2383 Napa Vallejo Highway, Napa, Calif. 94558.

Arrangements are under the direction of Napa Valley Memorial Park Mortuary.
