April 8, 1945 — April 3, 2014

Craig Robert Schultz passed away peacefully on April 3, 2014, in Fairfield, Calif., surrounded by his wife and children, after a valiant battle with leukemia.

Craig was born in Chicago, Ill., but moved to California at the age of 30, where he met and married his wife of 36 years, Jeanne Goodwin Schultz. Craig was retired, having worked as a vice president for Bank of America for more than 20 years. In his retirement, Craig volunteered for the Alpha Crisis Pregnancy Center and The Leaven tutoring center. He loved to join his friends for coffee on Monday mornings, where they solved all the problems of the world! Craig was an avid reader, particularly enjoying history and religion.

In addition to his wife, Craig is survived by his children, Cleighton (Natalie), Annika and Spencer, all of Fairfield; sisters, Adriane St. Clare of Eureka, Calif., and Corinne Murphy-Hines of Selah, Wash.; and granddaughters, Darian Schultz (Texas) and Cecilia Schultz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C. Robert and Adelaide Schultz, and his brother, Curt A. Schultz.

A celebration of Craig’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Parkway Community Church, 2397 Heath Drive, Fairfield, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Leaven by visiting their website at www.myleaven.org.

To the family of Mr. Craig Schultz, The entire lab staff of Sutter Medical Foundation would like to say were very saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Schultz. He was part of our "family" at the lab and we will miss him deeply. You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Jeanette Bakhtyari Lab Lead 2720 Low Court
