Senior Master Sergeant (Ret.) Clyde Lemuel Curl Sr. was born July 7, 1929, in Mexia, Texas, to the parents of Cora Lee and Henry Curl. As a child, Clyde moved to Richmond, Calif., with his family in 1944. He joined the military in 1948 and served over 30 years in the U.S. Air Force.
After a wonderful 84 years, Clyde was called home on Sept. 9, 2013. Left to mourn is his wife, Juanita R. Curl; his children, Wayne, Clyde Jr., David Sr, Carlton, Betty Christian, Sonia Bullard, Debra Watkins, Cora Curl and Carolyn Neal. There are also many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bernice Osborne.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Robert Curl.
A visitation is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 185 Chandler St., Vacaville. At noon the funeral service will commence. Burial will take place at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon and will be private.
