Arvard Estes

Arvard passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. He lived in Fairfield, Calif., for 52 years.

Arvard was born in Oklahoma. He was one of 12 children born to Clyde Estes and Geneva Estes.

The family moved to California when Arvard was 3. Arvard grew up in Vallejo, Calif. He graduated from Vallejo High School and Vallejo Junior College. He served in the Army and was an Army Reservist. Arvard worked for Syar Industries as a labor foreman. He was also very proficient at auto shop repairs.

He is survived by his son, Chris (Traci); daughter, Debbie (Jay); and three grandchildren; and his large family of sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins. Arvard will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Arvard was laid to rest in a private memorial service with full military honors on Jan. 30, 2014.
