Arturo Montenegro

Dec. 29, 1939 – July 18, 2014

Arturo passed away with many of his loved ones by his side on July 18, 2014, and is now with God. He was a resident of Fairfield, Calif.

He was born in Chile and immigrated to California in 1963. Arturo worked for Chevron and retired after 25 years of service. He enjoyed going to the Fairfield Senior Center daily and was an avid bocce ball, billiards and horseshoe player. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his little four-legged companions.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Luz; sons, Marcos (Debbie) and Gonzalo (Lisa); and his most prized grandchildren, Allie, Matteo and Maxx. He also leaves behind his three older brothers.

A celebration of his life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday July 26, 2014, at the Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W. Texas St., Fairfield, Calif.

    My condolences to the family. I will always remember him walking down Texas St with his dogs.
