Angelo Agustin Vicente passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Nov. 30, 2013. He was 90 years old.
Angelo was born on April 7, 1923, to Segundo and Margarita Vicente in Hermosa, Bataan, Philippines.
As a young man, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for his uncle’s lumber yard, clearing paths for trucks hauling logs from the mountains of Bataan. He later worked as a civilian contractor with the U.S. Navy Seabees, bulldozing and paving roadways and airstrips at the Subic Naval Base, Philippines. After his contract job ended, he returned home and farmed the family’s rice land.

He took pride in his well-maintained garden and manicured lawn, helped care for two of his young great-grandchildren, who adored him dearly. He loved boxing, an avid fan of Manny Pacquiao and was a natural talent in singing and playing the guitar. Angelo was a caring gentleman always willing to help and never complained. He was well loved and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
