Alvin Faria

 March 21, 1930 — March 14, 2014

Alvin David Faria, 83, passed away peacefully March 14, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Al was born March 21, 1930, in Fairfield, Calif.

Graduate of Armijo High School, Al was self-employed for 16 years in Sacramento and 35 years on the island of Guam. He retired to Paradise, Calif., in 1994. Al was a loving father whose passions included spending time with family, traveling, fishing, dancing and wine-making.

He is survived by brother, Leonard; sons, David and Vincent; daughters, Toni, Ann, Connie, Deana, Geraldine and Nina; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and four sisters.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at Rockville Cemetery, 4219 Suisun Valley Road, Fairfield, Calif.
